Then the fuel wasn't really drained was it.
In storing aircraft, fuel should be drained from the carb bowls and tank . Fuel shutoff should be closed and engine run till you run out of fuel and fuel tanks put in an attitude to drain out completely which is easy to do if the tank drain pickup is at the right spot.
You can also possibly put in Av gas in case of a 912 which can hold a whole lot longer than today's US car gas.
