Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: Vertical Card Compass Question

I believe, one is a regular GA unit operated by a gyro and the other is a GA look-alike magnetic, with a gear operated card.

One was on E-Bay a week ago and went for $70.00 and the seller stated on a question reply he was surprised from the bidding and expected around $40.00 for it...

The Precision PAI-700 Vertical Card Compass is made in the USA and sells for around $270 and the other looks like a PAI-700 copy, is made in China, and can be purchased for significantly less money. If you have any experience with either of these and are able to offer information or an opinion it would be much appreciated.
