How many pages of material in the Gleim kits, or the FAA documentation (Airplane Flying Handbook, FAR/AIM, Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge, etc)?

Rod's writing style may not be for everyone. The real savings in SP is the number of hours it takes to get the certificate... not necessarily the "amount of stuff you need to know". There are some things you don't need to know for SP vs Private of course, but I think its safe to say you need to know "most" stuff.
