It certainly is easier to transition an taildragger pilot to and LSA
than a tricycle pilot. When I get the inevitable "How long is this
checkout going to take?" question I always respond by asking them if
they have any tailwheel time even though all of our LSA are tricycle.
Tailwheel pilots are a breeze to transition to an LSA while tricycle
pilots often take a bit of work.
