If you are flying a VW powered airplane that meets the standards you could possibly go quite a bit faster. A lot of the VW's are rated (and can produce) upwards of 80+ HP. But do to the heads cannot sustain over 40 HP. What this means is the Vh is based on the 40HP ie Max Continuous Power whereas it can sustain up to twice that for shorter periods of time.
Of course I would be keeping an eye on that Cylinder head temp gage while doing so....
