RE: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Question for all Pilots

Some of the most entertaining flying is found when you initiate a turn with your elevator. All you need to decide is if you want a 1/4, 1/2 or full turn. It's best to use your rudder to get out of that turn, though. (See spin)

If you are going to get picky, lock your rudder in neutral - use your ailerons to roll, then pull back on the stick - you will turn. This is SOP in a Piper - feet, what feet?

Besides, the question was:  What is the primary control surface used to turn and airplane?  The ailerons are used in the start of a turn, but unless you want to go inverted, they are best neutralized before you get very far into your turn. The elevator is good all the way through.

I disagree, if elevator is the answer then my question becomes.
"when you pull back on the stick which direction do you turn?"
Sorry but elevator does not initiate a turn. period.....
