It is in some places, but all of the schools can teach it. The signoff of course would need S-LSA. They just don't like non part 23 craft. Not as safe and bad ride. Don't want to change anything over last 60 years of success.  Get the Rec ticket like i did, part 61-101. They can certainly understand 61-101, but no King courses for that one, unlikely to ever do that one, without them. There lost without the Kings there.

And Cessna had to know about the acceptance thing, that's there business to do that. But have a cheap plane for the CPC's and kill off UL seems to be the only reasons they did it. They can easily sell them off to the old sport guys who get the drivers medicals. Then get back to normal and we fight for ourselves out there.

Of course they could take advantage and will sell every one they make, but I don't think that was what they had on mind. They are making no effort to market the THEIR  new SLSA. I don't know about you guys but I feel cheated.

Here, the 172 is booked pretty solid for training @ $160/hr, instructor is $50 more and the 162 is sitting in the hanger because it has been windy here lately and no one has signed up to fly it. Maybe they are just waiting for better Weather to roll it out.

Oh well, I rant too much as it is. Sorry!

Maybe I’m not the “norm”, but we have a number of SLSA’s available for rent from flight schools out here in the Denver, Colorado area.
