we have a airolite 103 W/447 for sale on barnstormers.
allot of people think it is 103 legal and want electric flaps.
most people want 103 legal planes that call and think my price at$7,500
is a barrgin. most have dun ther homework but still miss the hole consept of how hard it is to make a plane 103 legal. most are not willing to consider a fat UL yet!
Timming is everything and the time is comming . UL,S WILL make a come back!

Metaphorically speeking the out side the box thinkers had there box shredded when they made sport pilot. Why? becouse we got to blatant about the way we did things .we must learn to be patient and passively resistant. im only fifty now so I have some experince in both.
Thats why I think the club plane UL training is the easiest way to go.
it will take a leap of faith for a man of substantial size to climb into a ultralite and do that first take off after only Some training in a much larger flying machine. He would need to self certify his first solo as he would do so without a medical, but any 2 seat quicksilver converted to a single seat would work just fine
