Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Looking For Earnie Avery

Does anyone know if Earnie Avery is still alive?  He wrote a great article : History of Ultralight Aviation that was published in 1994  AFFORDABLE FLYING - Special.  I would like to talk with him if he is still around.

Any info is appreciated.
