Want me to really confuse us all????  How about if the CFI is a CFI without his medical (therefore a sport cfi)……at the point in time that the student pilot is legal to be pilot in command, aka..after he has soloed……does the CFI time NOW count?  Remember, a CFI does not have to have a medical to instruct, as long as the student can function as pilot in command.

If his CFIis for SP only then the dual hours will not count for a PP certificate.
