By all means get all of the info packets you can from AOPA, EAA and any thing else available. Be sure to  list out how the bills will be paid, equally, by flight hours, or some other combination. There will always be those who will try to skip out on their share of especially repair bills. I have found that a few buddies who get together and buy a plane, have a handshake agreement, will not be buddies in a few years. Those who always are in the restroom when it is their turn to buy the next round will be the same when it is time for a major overhaul.
