Im building a single seat cgs hawk. I want to get a sport pilot license with training in a plane that has similar flight characteristics, does anyone know of any training suitable for my situation. ============================================= Are you on the yahoo hawk list? A S-CFI or CFI can teach in a loaned 2 seat hawk, or 2 seat anything with a N number, ESLA or Experimental, he / she just can't charge a fee for the airplane. Ask around if anyone with a giving heart and a good CFI they trust in their plane to give you a few hours dual. A few high dollar dinners (not mickkieD's) for the owner and his or her spouse might do the trick. A hawk isn't a difficult airplane to master. Just use a little power, land long until you get a comfortable feeling setting her down, when you get ready for your single seater. You might find a hawk flyer in your area that will fly your plane around the patch a few times to give you confidence it'll fly okay. The hawk flys simular to the Challenger but without the tail waggle. JB CFI |
