What is it that you fear if you go past the 5 year time period if you are not training in your aircraft? Do you think that your insurance would not pay if you had not changed your fuel, oil and water lines? Certainly folks can examine these lines and tell if they need to be changed. After all, it would not seem that the fuel and oil lines on Rotax engines should need to be changed any more often than if they were on a Continental or Lycoming engine. Same seem to apply to the water coolant lines when compared to those in a car. If you are covered by some type of warranty than it would seem to be a concern or if you believe that your insurance would not cover you in case of an occurrence, other than that I am not sure if there is any problem with the Rotax or that it should be any more costly to operate than any other engine.
