Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: Cruising speed

"Max continuous power" is the key. Many engines will turn higher RPMs
but are not recommended to be run that high "continuously."

The engine builder/manufacturer gets to determine what the "maximum
continuous RPM" for their engine should be for safe operation and
longer TBO.
