Icom IC-A24 Nav/Com Transceiver
I plan on keeping these; if you want them we can discuss the options. I will include a Terra 760 radio with the plane.
If this is your first plane, I'll even throw in an old headset that I used for years that works, but could use some TLC.
If you are looking for an inexpensive to fly (3.75 GPH) flat out fun plane…. This is it! The Quad City Challenger is the most popular light sport plane on the market, and there is a reason. It is simply a blast to fly and the popularity of the kit has made it so there is a very large support group for the owner.
The plane can take off and land in less than 400 feet and can cruise at 80-85MPH.
I bought this plane as a test to see if I was the kind of guy that wants to own a plane – I am. I flew 110 hours in this plane in 12 months, learned a bunch, met some great friends, and re-sparked my love of flying. But now I want a plane to do acro in and although this plane is flat out fun, it does not fit my new mission. I now want a Citabria and while I could own both, it is not very realistic due to hangar space.

With Doors at sunset at my friends Radio Controlled Airplane field… This plane has GREAT short field performance. With the old 54" prop and short redrive I could fly in and out of the radio controlled airplane field with no worries on grass runways of less than 500 feet in length. Measured performance was 370 for both take off and landing. The larger prop and tall redrive has improved the performance but I have not measured it since installation.

The paint and fabric are in great shape. The Dragon is vinyl and I have taken most of it off, but left the head because I think it adds some humor. The plane has been kept in a hangar the entire time I have owned it.

A shot showing the vertical stabilizers

Less than 15 hours on the new 60" Warp Drive taper tip prop and redrive. It has improved performance 5-10%

Extra 12 Volt plug and standard VFR instruments. The Dual CHT and dual EGT are very nice to have.

Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: Options for Partially Completed Kit

I don't know if you got an answer that really touched on the core of your question. You ask about kits that are for sale that have been substantially built by others. There are two different things under discussion here. The first is the 51% rule. That requires that 51% of the fabrication and assembly be completed by amateurs. The second thing is whether YOU have completed 51% of the work. There is NO such requirement. You could buy a kit that is 90% complete and finish it and register it as AB. And you could apply for the inspection certificate. The requirement is that 51% of the complete build was done by amateurs. The key is that you must be able to prove that with build logs from the other builders. So kits that are partially completed become problematic if logs don't exist and builders can't be found to fill in the blanks. Depending on the percentages, they may still be usable and the work not become orphaned. Before buying you should analyze the kit and builder logs to see if it still be completed to meet the rules.
Numerous examples exist of kits that went through many hands before completion.

Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Selling my EuroFox

I think as time has gone on it is time for me to quit flying. I have been aging pretty fast lately and lost interest in being a Pilot anymore.

I live in Bakersfield; CA. the plane is in great shape with only 215 TTAE and no damage history. Always hangared and like new. Have all the options except the parachute which can be added if you want one. New models are now selling at $85,950 base price and a long waiting line to receive them.

Mine is gassed up and ready to go anytime. Let's not be stupid here, I'm interested in all reasonable offers and all serious ones will be considered. Please use this as an invitation to contact me privately off list at garyo@bak.rr.com and not use the list. This is not what the list is for and I send it as info only.
Thanks,

Gary.

Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group adventura sold

a local Travis, Travis told me on the phone yesterday he is looking forward to Sebring to show off the adventurer. as you may not know Bob had owned the rites to many designs. Keuthan aircraft, barracuda, peruses, kappa, Zephyr, and a couple moor. Bob had the tooling and fiberglass forms to all the designs he owned. I felt for what Bob had to offer the price was quite reasonable, Travis comes from a aviation background and is excited about the new company
their are several moor Ultralight designs that for now have been given another chance to survive.

That was the Powers & Bashforth "Mini Master", which I saw at Oshkosh circa 1990-91? There was only 1 prototype made before they went out of business. It used  Rotax 582 two stroke engines....it was before the four stroke Rotax 912/914 was available and since the two stroke engines were perceived to be somewhat unreliable, the Mini Master concept was an attempt to reduce concerns about  engine failure issues. But having to pay for two engines made the project uneconomical since good light 4 strokes were known to be in coming (just my opinion).

There were some photos on the net some years ago, showing the one prototype abandoned/derelict at a small airfield, I think it was somewhere in the Northwest (Washington?)

A  Google search for"Powers & Bashforth" shows much more info.

Wasn't there a light sport on the market; that was a push puller plane?  It looked like a small Cessnaa?  great looking.  being a twine engine, I don't know if that fits it into the light sport catagory.  I think it wes made in the midwest.  ?  Bob McDonagh

Send me your phone number as a private reply if you'd like to sometime meet face to face just for fun.
I'm a two hour flight in my LSA from Corning,
and very occassionally fly down there to get Brian (who is a VERY experienced Rotax and LSA guy) work on my plane.

Don't know if it's practical but I'd love to see a single engine driving counter rotating front and back props.
And a way to disingauge one prop for low fuel use cruising.
Also totally blue sky.

Interesting, that a private pilot can fly even a true multiengine EXPERIMENTAL without a multiengine rating, though.

The reason for this inquiry is I am looking at a future project involving a Custer Channel wing aircraft using a Titan, or similar, fuselage as a start and single engine driving two props, one in each channel. Just blue sky at this point.

Alex, My phone number is below. I just bought a Sonex with a Jab 3300. Haven't taken possession of it yet and when I do i have to get a few hours of dual in it to satisfy the insurance people. For now I will be based at the Oroville (KOVE) airport and eventually at Paradise (CA92), which is closer to where I live (Magalia). If you fly into Paradise I could pick you up. It's a private field, but I can get the OK for you to land there. I'd love to talk blue sky projects as I have many and am always interested in what others are dreaming up. I have attached some photos of a 1/4 scale model of the CCW project that is based on a Titan II. Also included one of a 3/4 scale P-39 mock-up that's hanging in my shop and one of my rolling test stand that has a variable ratio reduction unit driving the prop.

I have read some about it and it's quite a project.
