Hi,

I see that there is a dealer offering sport pilot instruction in his challenger for $95 an hour using his plane. I believe all Quad City Challengers are EXP homebuilt aircraft (unless they fell into the ELSA window).

I also learned of a special exemption for teaching pilots to fly a Sonex. According to a friend of mine, he can charge for training in his experimental Sonex. He is a CFI.

I have always thought that a S-LSA was required for instruction for the sport pilot license. I searched a bit and did not come up with an answer.

What do you folks know about this?

Thanks, Ken
