Two years ago, I flew a Cherokee 180 from Wichita to Houston, got diverted to Sugarland International. They had a "kind" of a landing fee. It was more of a overnight fee. . . .maybe 10 dollars a night? (Can't remember the exact). If you purchased enough gas (maybe 10 gallons?) they waved that fee. I think I remember purchasing about 25 gallons of Gas, and they waved my 3 night stay over. I did notice one thing. . . I remembered seeing very few airplanes at that airport, and it was a rather large airport for the most part, with a controller. Maybe if they would change their tactics, they would be busier?
