Any idea why?  I've been under the impression that the $300 price tag on these bulbs was for the PMA approval.  I would expect and homebuilt version available for a fraction of that.  ???

Peter, while I am sure they are nice lights, they are neither LED nor compatible with a 4509 bulb.
