According to their website they suggest 14 gauge wire to the light and 10 amp circuit breaker. The igniter is built into the ballast so you want the ballast mounted near the lamp. The only interference they've noted is a slight wine in audio during lamp warmup (warm up takes 10 seconds) and nothing after warmup...

They also have a LED setup...

Interesting.  What exactly is an HID lamp and is there a downside?

The answer is yes for most Rotax powered aircraft that lack an external
alternator.
