If I may offer my 2 cents here. I kind of had the feeling it wouldn't work from the start. First they came on board about a year and a half late. Others already had a foot hold. The engine choice was poor. It only made sense to Cessna's in place mechanics that didn't want to go through additional training. It was supposed to be a trainer but would be over weight with a CFI who weighed over 80 lbs. Not to many of them around. Then if you put gas in it it was really over weight. Kinda tough to fly w/o gas. Then if you bent it up the insurance company probably wouldn't pay.
Cessna had a clean slate to start with and they came up with a shrunked up 150. It is amazing they sold 200.
