Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Announcing new LSA s

On Friday June 24, two Pipistrel Virus SW LSA aircraft and one selflaunch Taurus sailplane received their LSA Airworthiness Certificates. There are the first Pipistrel aircraft to receive LSA certification.

One Virus SW was certificated as a glider and one as an airplane. The Taurus selflaunch sailplane is of course a glider. It is the Rotax 503 version not the battery powered one. The glider Virus SW goes to San Antonio Light Sport near San Antonio, TX. and the airplane version to ouy dealer in the twin cities area on Minnesota.

Other versions of these remarkable aircraft have been flying in the USA for more than 6 years as Experimental, Racing/Exhibition aircraft.
