It's not what is discovered during the medical that's a problem. The medical
itself is a joke. It's the form you fill out that asks if you've had any of
about 3 dozen or so problems or procedures before that gets you. If you are
caught lying on those answers you will get your license revoked. And the older
you are the better chance you have of having to answer yes to one of them.
I had an angioplasty and stent in 2003 and can still get a special issuance
for it but the cost would add $40 to $100 an hour to my expense. So after the
last special issuance I let it expire (good for only one year) and am
satisfied with SP privileges.
