Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: Craig and Barry - Craig's quest to land in all 48 states

Why. Its completely and utterly legal. Barry flies that route all the time. Once the park ranger called NYC Police helicopter on him last year and it was a big hoo-haa and EAA and AOPA were calling for his license without knowing jack. He was completely legal, within the bounds of all FARs and in April FARs for trikes were changed so that a trike can basically fly low like helicopters and he was within his rights to exercise that right for safety as a few Mooneys were passing him at the height airplanes are supposed to fly at so being lower was safer for him in the corridor.

I think he starts his flights in Connecticut where Barry is based.
