Subject: Re: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group aircraftIt does appear to be a post that is attached directly to the bottom of the panel. I agree with you that is a poor location on most LSAs with lightweight panels. The pounding that storm gave out, I think it would have damaged the panel. It might be an option for light winds when you are away from your home base and need an easy to carry lightweight solution.Just my opinion from looking at the pictures and knowing how lightweight the LSA panel edges are.KenFrom: Helen WoodsSent: Thursday, July 05, 2012 6:42 AMSubject: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group aircraftAnyone have experience with this brand of gust lock?

We had massive aircraft damage all around the state with the storms that
blew through Friday. Many of my students and neighbors are still out of
power. I started looking at gust locks again and found these folks who
make them for LSA. They don't have a phone number though and my e-mail
as of Tuesday has not been answered. The biggest question I have is how
to they attach. The photos aren't very good but it looks like it may be
directly to the panel, which is most of our LSAs is flimsy plastic and
would not be my first choice for an attach point for a gust lock.
Anyone on the list have first hand experience with this brand and
preferably a contact number for the manufacturer?
