Excellent comment. I feel your pain. I use a netbook on the road and discovered I appreciate top posting if possible. Sometimes a detailed response needs to be line by line, but those people usually trim as well. HTML (like I just used) isn't so user friendly when it comes to trimming, I have noticed. It likes to keep the previous post in one big blob. Grrrr...

Would it be possible to ask that people edit/trim their responses? I just got three messages in this thread, each with >90 lines, >3K long, of other peoples replies. It was up to 7 levels deep at some points, unedited.
It might be a problem with Yahoo postings (I saw multiple copies of previous posts incorporated in a single reply), but if not - just a few lines to point to the previous post would be more than sufficient.
No flamage intended here; it's just a bit hard to read on a netbook screen...
