I'll share my humble opinion and that is, it's:
politics religion war economics lies and greed,
which is screwing the people into the ground,
and screwing the sport into the ground.

It's not, "the FAA being mean to UL", that did it.

Unless and until the people come to grips with the real problems,
there will be no light at the end of the tunnel.
