Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Can't wait for my new picture licence !!!

In the last year or so we had to go from "paper to plastic", then we had to get new ones for our ratings to be added, now we find the the FAA was mandated by a law six years ago to include a photo on the licence.

What a HUGE waste of our money !

This is a prime example of today's bloated FAA. Too big to move in a timely, reasonable fashion.

The BS with the LODAs is another !

What can we do about these ?

Why doesn't it seem that the flying associations have any pull in these matters ?

I was thinking about writing my congressman, but it would take too long to explain the aviation parts of the LODA to him.

I listened to a interview with Dan Johnson awhile back on the Ultra Flight Radio show and he disagreed with the LODA proposal due to the aircraft manufactures spending millions to come up with the SLSA version and he said that the FED's can not turn their back on them and allow LODAs.

Then it turns out allot of "SLSAs" are the same plane for the most part, just more paperwork that the bloated bureaucracies love to shuffle around and send to each other for their stamps, seals ect.. (justifying their jobs).

Was the LODA and safety trashed for money ?
