RE: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group the Blame Game

fellows,

I remember Winter in Newton IA.
The school was not so far away, just ~3long blocks.
and the ground was mostly level.
However, I was just a little guy, less than 3' tall and the snow drifts were
much taller.

I also had shoes and a nice warm Winter coat.

The route to school was approx 1/2 dirt road and 1/2 paved road.

Nonetheless, That 4 blocks was a major chore to walk to/from school.

BTW:
I was passing through the area a couple of years ago.
The dirt roads are gone. Replaced by hwy 14.
We used to live way out past the edge of town.
Now, the town runs several miles past where I used to live.
The Maytag company had less than 1 city block. Now, Maytag covers the whole
area that used to be the town.
Things really change when a person turns their back for a few decades.
I guess that is called 'progress'.
