Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: RV-12 For Training

Thanks for the comments.

I've been flying for about 40 years, having started when I was 14. I would not have any trouble with insurance but would likely only purchase liability as I wouldn't finance the purchase. However, my wife is working on her private now and the one rental airplane in my area, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, is an older and not very reliable C-172.

I'm very interested in purchasing an RV-12 for several reasons. It would appear to be an excellent flyer and represents good value for money. I'm quite interested to hear the impressions of forum members who might have flown an RV-12.

In three years we plan to to become "Earthrounders" and fly around the world in the four-place RV-10 with a Delta Hawk XP diesel. The similarity of the RV-12 to the aircraft that we'll ultimately wind up flying would be good familiarity for both of us.
