Re: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Sport pilot rating for glider pilot

Does anyone know about the OTHER way around?

About what's involved in a sport pilot flying a glider?
Does he/she need to get a glider pilot rating/license?
Or just an endorsement with a checkride with a CFI?
Or what?

Related questions:
Does a regular glider pilot rating require a medical?

If a glider fits the LSA definition for weight, seat, stall speed, etc,(and it would appear many would) could a holder of a sport pilot license get in one an fly it if it is in his/her clss of sport pilot license (say maximum cruise in level flight under 87 knots)?
