If you already have a private/glider certificate, you're good to go. If you have a sport pilot, rec pilot, or pricate pilot SEL rating, then you would need the proficiency check.

You mean a "private" pilot with glider? No. No medical required. (per 61.23)

Everyone now needs an endorsement for airspeed. It used to be that you only needed an endorsement to fly the "faster than 87" aircraft. That was changed. Now, endorsements are issued for both <=87 and >87. There are exceptions for people who flew before 4/2/2010.
But that endorsement is a no-brainer.
