Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Check Ride

had my check ride in a SkyCatcher yesterday and...passed it! that is the
culmination of a 30-year dream for me. I started lessons in a Cessna 152
back in 1982 but as so often happens life got in the way...and kept getting
in the way. i'm retired now and decided that i'm not getting any younger
and that if I was going to get this thing done now was the time. yesterday,
my dream came true thanks to my instructor at the JA Flight School at aurora
airport (ARR) and the DPE at janesville, wi (JVL). I'm thinking of going
for my private pilot but for now I'm going to take a step back, exit
training mode and enjoy my new privleges.

to those on the list who are still in training don't give up...keep on doing
what you're doing. the time and effort you're putting in WILL be worth it
when your DPE hands you your temporary airman certificate. to those who may
be deciding whether or not to start training I would encourage you to take a
discovery ride at a flight school. there is absolutely nothing like the
feeling of that first takeoff. and to those of you who have passed your
check ride...i am proud to be a member of the fraternity.

blue skies to all.

Good judgment comes from experience. experience, well that comes from poor
judgment.
