Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: Use of GPS in private pilot certification? (WAS: "Re: A starting poi

A CFI friend of mine just recently asked this question of the FSDO and we
are awaiting the answer. There is no mention of VOR or NDB in the PP PTS
(except in the list of abbreviations). The CFI wondered if a device such
as the Dynon D1 would be acceptable, or for that matter the six-pack page
on a Garmin 496. I'll post when we get a response.
