John,

I have flown some part 103 trikes that met the limitations of part 103.

However, I have also flown 103 trikes that met the exemption parameters of 10
gallons fuel and 496 pounds.

In fact, my current trike, 460 pounds, 10 gallon fuel was perfectly legal until
LSA/SP.

My trike is long since legal again with an airworthiness certificate, 'N'
number, etc and registered under the grandfather provisions of LSA as an ELSA.

So, my only current 'ax to grind' is the astm weight limit on the front seat of
the SLSA trikes of only 225 pounds.
