Hello David.
I'm a sport examiner (WSC only),
so I can give you a "view from the other side".

I'd guess that you have not yet completed your training and obtained
your endorsement to take the practical test.
If that's the case, then that's adding to your stress.
Reason is,
a) towards the end of your training the last three hours of training
is "training to take the practical test",
and
b) once you've completed this training and your instructor has endorsed
your log book saying "David is ready to take the Practical test",
that would give you all the confidence you require.

So, my suggestion is that you complete your training, and get the endorsement,
and have your 8710.11 form filled in and signed by yourself and Instructor,
THEN
phone the examiner for an appointment.

Mike

PS: The endorsement doesn't look exactly like above,
but I wanted to show the key message in the endorsement.
