Re: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group New topic, what are we?

Down the road when I'm finnished with it my 83 Starflight DBL and I will be flying to MO where it was born.  I have several friends at Liberty Landing that I need to see.  fter that I intend to fly the replica Vickers gun bus to as many places as time permits.   Kind of a see the USA at 50mph trip.  I don't think it will be boring.

I did a Denver to Martha's Vineyard in a slow Beech Skipper.  Over 17 hours in the air, with stops every 2 ½ to 3 hours.  I had a BALL!!!!   I did get stopped for one day to wait out some weather, but as luck would have it, it was in a town where I could go make a customer visit.

I delivered the Skipper to a buyer on Martha's Vineyard.  New York airspace was NUTS, but the experience was worth the headaches.  I'm quite sure I drove the poor controller a bit batty with my presence, but that's the breaks.

Hopefully, I'll be delivering LSA's across country that like very soon.

I started with ULs then went the GA route.  Light Sport just kind of came along.  I like puttering around with no particular place to go.  A long flight in a slow plane also sounds like fun and may be in the future.  Who knows?  Roger P
