You are correct on the excessive fuel burn. Back a few years ago Jim
Gordon from Noblesville, Indiana built a jet powered Mitchel Wing.
Since it was an ultralight he was restricted to a five gallon fuel
tank. This made for approximately 20 minutes of air time per tank. You
