Re: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Can anyone read "Efficiency"

I have no problem with that except I am on the other side of the fence as in "manufacturer".
I have a a good friend on the ASTM committee approving the electrical powerplant for ASTM compliant LSA and that means that Light Aircraft Branch at Kansas city is also aware of it and what that means is that when there is a standard and someone starts developing a viable electrical powerplant for LSA complying with the ASTM standard, manufacturers like us will start requesting that FAA first do an "exemption" and then change the rule and FAA will in their slowish way. They are slow but they are not there to stop progress and compared to CAA's of many other countries, actually FAA are quite fast (all relative).
