The major issues I see with medical conditions and Sport Pilot are (1) are your health issues under control, and (2) are _you safe to fly_, which under Sport Pilot is your determination if you have a valid drivers license.
I do take the FAA listing on meds seriously; in particular anything (like Benadryl) that would impede my thinking and awareness. Prescribed meds that _improve_ your awareness, whether on the approved list or not, are IMHO ones I feel you should never fly without. For example: meds for high blood pressure; uncontrolled hypertension can cause dizzyness, blurred vision, etc.
I would suggest you talk to your cardiologist about what your symptoms would occur if/when your defibrillator fired off. Would they cause you to lose control?
