Re: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: Medical Inquiry

Insurance *is* required only on a state by state basis. See reverse of MD Aviation Admin. form 210 for liability minimums:
$50,000 bodily injury per individual
$100,000 bodily injury per accident
$50,000 property damage protection

I'm not sure where you would find a list of requirements by state. I'm guessing an aviation insurance broker would (or should) know. One thing I found is that it appears impossible to get liability insurance for an E/AB flying as an LSA if you have a student certificate (Sport Pilot). Falcon and several others will not. Anyone know otherwise?

Helen, I am unable to find states that requires aircraft liability insurance for privately owned aircraft, do you have a list of them?
