Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: Light Sport Shopping Experiences

Flight Design is still manufacturing both the SW and the LS CT models. The SW has greater useful load because it is lighter. The LS is has a few design changes to the wings, fuselage, and landing gear which added a lot of weight. The SW is a sports car, the LS is a sedan. Take your pick.

We are also offering the new MC, metal concept, CT for those people who insist on not changing and growing with modern technology. There is no doubt the composite, carbon fiber, aircraft are safe and durable. We have a regional repair station in MN, and they can do wonders with repairs when needed (just like the metal benders).

I forgot to mention, the CT (all of them) come standard with the BRS parachute system. I had a factory tour yesterday in Saint Paul MN, it was very enlightening. I cannot believe more manufacturors are not making these 'standard' equipment. Oh weight, I know why...it takes away their useful load (gas, baggage, equipment, range, and passengers).

I strongly urge all pilots to actually fly a variety of airplanes before making a purchase decision. You will be amazed by the differences.

Now if only we could do something about the weather.
Scott
