I'm afraid it is oversimplified to the point of being exactly wrong. So far there has been no manufacturing technology developed anywhere to make large composite airframe parts in production quantities for anything approaching the touch labor hours of equivalent aluminum structures.
To be sure, there are technologies that show promise, but have not made it out of the tech development centers to actual production use. Unfortunately, they have been 3-5 years away for the last 10-15 years, just like small deisel engines.
