I averaged 3 months of down time despite having my paperwork in 3 months before expiration,
which is what they suggest. They always came up with some other document that they wanted
despite the fact that I included everything they originally ask for.
My suggestion is if sport pilot privileges fit you then stick with that and save yourself a
lot of hassle. After all if they refuse a SI then your sunk, no SP then.
