When I was in the Navy we were told the definition of war was "to kill people and break things."

 

We give this guy 4th and 5th amendment rights in a country that is not even his to start with. And a free lawyer to boot, dedicated to defend him.

 

So we tighten up air transportation in the air, not on the ground where it started in the first place. This affects all of us, including GA. We're next I suppose...

I completely agree with you... but another way to look at it is, how often do you (or 20 to 60k of your closest friends) willingly walk into a sporting event, where there's minimal pat-down and bag inspection. Oh wait - I can bring more than 3oz. of liquid into the game if it's in a sealed bottle. Like that can't be done on the sly. It sure wouldn't be hard to really impact a lot of folks in a negative way by doing that.

So what I'm trying to say is, we live in a dangerous world, but we shouldn't have to live in fear, or have even the most basic of human dignity (going to the bathroom) impacted simply because we have a small group of nutcases running around who think they are going to impact the world simply by terrorizing the rest of us. The whole thing really just makes me sick.

Live life to the fullest, be sensibly aware of your surroundings, but don't live in fear of what "could" happen.
