Let me tell you, it is an interesting market for sure. To directly answer your question, expect to spend at least 25-30k for anything worth having with a radio and transponder.
The big increase in price has brought out those who are not entirely honest. MANY are advertised as a c model, when you get the FAA CD it is a D.
Many were stored away in barns, hangars, and backyards for decades, and the price has them being pulled out, washed off, and sold. BEWARE! The low time engine that has been sitting since 1951 will need some serious work probably. If the owner balks in delivery to you, better find one that will fly!
On the other hand, if you are an A&P (I am) and want a project, there are lots out there in that category. Just be sure to check them out WELL before purchase.
