RE: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group - Subject Line and Trimming Posts!

I would strongly suggest that anyone receiving the digest and has found something they want to comment about, go to the yahoo site to that message and make a reply there. I do believe that is the intent of the digest option. This would serve us all better and reduce the clutter one has to go through on any of the groups.

In a digest there can be several subjects in involved with the posts included in it. The only real thing they can title it is digest number XXX.

Thanks. Any other suggestions?

I don't use the digest mode, but why can't the subject line be on topic rather than Digest Number xxxx? Do users of digest have to manually do this? Please do. Same for replies to Digest Mode subject lines. I understand trimming posts, but if the replies are on top, we have the option of reading down as far as we would like. No? I've seen posters on other lists trim all but their reply without giving us a clue as to what they might be replying. Is there a protocol for this list? Thanks.

Well, you sure punished us good...
by cunningly posting an entire digest back at everyone.

> I'm getting tired with this one .....

Oh shame!  A poor tired pilot.
Please rest before flying again.
;-)

> ... that talks about almost anything but sport aviation.

Rubbish.
In one short period after a significant aviation event
(an attack by a nutter on an airliner),
there was discussion about this event.
But the group's long-time record is that it **DOES** talk
primarily about Sport Aviation.
Your accusation above is rejected!
.... besides,
just talk about Sport Aviation yourself and you will already
be working towards the goal, "more Sport Aviation talk".

Sport Aviation requires a lot of things, two prime amongst
them are "adequate cash" and "adequate freedom to fly".
Both of these are likely to have been impacted, even if only 1%,
by the latest nutter.

Sport Aviation Topic:
But if anyone doesn't want to consider possible negative ramifications
of an outside world on our Sport, then I'm also capable of discussing the
best oil for minimal wear in the 2-stroke engine used on my Sport Aircraft.
I'm using the Walmart blend, at about $12 a gallon.
And my oil injector mixes it for me at about 70:1.
So my oil is costing me about 50c per hour.

Cheers,
Mike
