I like that plan.  Unfortunately, the doors won't open, but philosophically I like it.

Well opening the door at 30k might have destroyed the aircraft and killed everyone better then the so called bomb he was wearing. It comes down to this. This guy was not very smart. It was not well planned out and it simply did not work.

Security of flight must happen at the airport before take-off. But I
guess now that some nut-job had explosives tied to his underwear that

rear door, set him on fire again, and push his radical, gee-hawd
behind into the open sky at about 30,000 feet without a chute.

Sounds cruel? So does plotting to kill over 200 passengers ...
