Re: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Kitbuilt -51% rule

Light Sport Aicraft are not limited to 10,000 feet. That's a pilot limitation.

A1flybye,

The op-limits, the airworthiness-certificate, and the weight-and-balance (or weight and loading for a trike) are three separate documents.

The document that will be most different between a E-LSA and a E-AB will be the op-limits.

The kinds of differences will include:
--max take-off weight (1320pounds for a E-LSA)
--max altitude( 10k ASL for a E-LSA)

I do not have my op-limits in front of me, nor my FAR manual, so I cannot quote chapter and verse on the expected differences.

R. Williams
