Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: Lower cost S-LSA airplanes

Jim, I know you will want the truth but I am not sure in our politically correct, don't tell me stuff that hurts kind of place, others would stand for it.
Lets just say that if you actually looked at all the accidents and go looking further, you may see a lot of older experienced GA pilots behind the wheel in non-fatal accidents.
In insurance studies done in Europe and in other countries on these lighter aircraft, it was abundantly clear without a doubt that time in "type" was much much more important than time in general. In fact most accidents happened to experienced pilots who had recently started flying lighter aircraft or microlights (fatal or non-fatal). This study was presented to AIG. But in the US our insurance companies are upside down with their policies. Somehow North American water is supposed to present some different result than in Europe. Not very smart assumption.

BTW, if someone is offended by the truth, or even an opinion expressed thoughtfully with no intent to offend, then the problem is theirs and I wouldn’t worry about offending them. (Granted, my “blow smoke up my ass” comment wasn’t delivered thoughtfully, but then I admit I thought your question was a little ridiculous and deserved an answer with some humor attached.)

I have always wondered why people sometimes send blank responses, and now I see they probably aren’t, their response is simply disappearing into cyberspace. I did rename the subject. Would that have been a factor?
