Hi Mike, I guess people miss understand what is being said. In my posts there, I stated that I did work for the government all of my life. I was an F-16 weapons system manager, who gave briefing to Sen John Glenn, and dealt with the Whitehouse....... A Mister Floyd Baker for Bill Clinton's staff. So I know acronyms, and could throw out many, many of them that would make your head spin as well. But that is not the point, I was only making a statement for those of you who share your knowledge, to do it in a way that lesser people can understand without feeling left out. Its no big deal to do it right just one time in your postings, than it is to sit and make a big deal out of nothing. I just want those who read your posts to "fully" understand it, and be apart of the conversation. But some people here want, of need to have so much control over it all, that they want questions, and take up more time explaining. Anyway, I am out of this, enough has been said, things are way out of hand by now. Its been fun......... ta-ta

Having to plow through 582 pages just to get a Sport Pilot license is way too much. I thought the appeal of getting a SP license was the training was much less than a PP. I read his equally massive Private Pilot Handbook and thought no wonder the drop out rate for PPs is nearly 70 % ( per AOPA ). While I like Rods writing style his books are a perfect example of less is ALOT more. The video courses I've seen from King are IMO a much easier and efficient way of learning than reading a bloated textbook.
